The Western United Pioneers U13 boys soccer team made its way to the U.S. Club Soccer National Championships where it ultimately came away with the region’s first title.
After winning the New England Premier League championship earlier this summer, the team earned a spot in the NPF Finals in Westfield, Indiana. The team played in the semifinals before heading to U.S. Club Soccer National Championship in Indianapolis which they qualified for by winning the Massachusetts State Cup this year. The team went 2-0-1 in its group before defeating GPS Rhode Island South in the semifinals.
Ultimately, Western United Pioneers took home the championship with a 2-1 win over Sockers FC, a team out of Illinois, in the championship.
